Fridays Were Made for Art …. and Getting Crunked

mmmm pizza

The South Main Trolley Art Tour starts back up this Friday. Free rides, booze, and art…. and the weather should be in the 70s. In addition to your usual array of openings and folk art for sale and ass shaking at Ernestine & Hazel’s, there are a few things going on of particular interest.

The MCA Grad program opening featuring Mikeal that I wrote about last week will be at MCA’s gallery ‘On the Street’. I believe the address is 431 S. Main.

Also, the Lantana Project has brought in James Clar for an installation involving 10 rooftops, lights, and foot traffic. Visit the site for the details. It sounds pretty rad.

And finally, not on S. Main, Johnny Taylor is debuting new paintings at the vue gallery at 2160 young ave. If you don’t know Johnny, you might know his sister, Betsy, if you went to Rocktoberfest (half of Heart) or work for a psychiatry journal, or sometimes go out and meet people in midtown.

I, on the otherhand, will be trying to stop by these events, before or after i enjoy some dancing performed by a friend of a friend. I wish I could tell you what and where, but alas, I just work here.
