Jesus’ Son

great flick

According to the Memphis Flyer and hitonememphis.com, Clem Snide is playing here on the 14th. Now, I thought this was odd since Eef Barzelay just put out a solo record. Well, it’s been confirmed that it is in fact an Eef solo show. Never thought I’d type something like “Eef solo show.” Anyway, I’m honestly more interested in an Eef solo show than the full band anyway…. unless the guy from Ed was chasing Carol around on a white horse. That’d be cool. Eef solo show bitches.

Also, I read yesterday in US Weekly: Indie that Sufjan Stevens and Rosie Thomas are expecting a child. Wha?! Where have I been? So those of you that doubt Jesus and Mary Magdalene were makin’ out in the back seat of the marching band bus on the way back from the Red Bank game, well I think we have our proof that you’re dead wrong.

someone needs to tell wevl. i heard a clem snide song on there the other day and during the air break (which occured right after the song was played) there was zero mention of this show. at least it’s on a friday. also, he’ll be on kexp live today at 6 p.m. cst. but you probably knew that already. also, that zygote is probably writing songs as we speak.

I read about the lovechild on Pitchfork.
I guess everyone has a price and for Sufjan, it’s pussy.

I wonder if when they’re in bed making babies, he whispers in her ear things like ‘taste the rainbow.’

i’d put money on wevl having him for an in studio next week.

I just read on Gorilla Vs Bear that the Sufjan thing isn’t true.
Surely, PM didn’t make this up.

It’s true because I read it on the interweb.

yeah, ok so it’s not true, but it was an awesome joke. I love you Rosie Thomas. The whole thing was really confusing cause I’d always thought Damien Jurado was getting some on the side from her.

Pat, do I get a share of your winnings from your bet about Eef being on WEVL? It’s been set for a while that Eef will perform the afternoon of the show. I forgot what time, probably 6ish; Hayden’s iCal might know because he’s doing the interview again this time.
