The Darjeeling Limited

October 5 sees the wide release of Wes Anderson’s The Darjeeling Limited. Here’s the trailer, hot off the presses.

Despite myself, I totally STOK’d.

I’m quite encouraged by the fact that there’s really very little that’s outright funny in this trailer. As I recall, all of the A Life Aquatic promos were hilarious, and in turn, I didn’t actually enjoy the film that much. Maybe the reverse rule will apply to Darjeeling.

As an aside, I was recently told that A Life Aquatic gets better with each viewing and that it deserves another chance. Perhaps tonite is the night.

    OH MY GOD you have just made my day. The world is a better place now that another Wes Anderson film is coming out. Yes, I am that blindly devoted. And yes, perhaps tonight is the night for reliving A Life Aquatic. It really does get better!

    i have officially seen it 2 1/2 times. i just meant ‘another chance’ as ‘1 more than i’ve already given it.’
