Too Much Love This Weekend

If you are wondering what you’re doing this weekend, and you happen to live in Memphis, I’ve got your schedule all figured out. And it’s all about the rock.

Friday At 5:30 this evening, Harlan T. Bobo and Shangri-La Records will be gracing us with a free show, presumably in the parking lot. Then later at the usual Midtown rock time, Of Montreal is bringin’ it to the HiTone. That one’s $12. Word has it they began loading in at noon today to make time for the “stage extension” they have to install. Godbless those kids.

Saturday Another early show, this time at the HiTone for the return of Bury the Living. Be there at 7pm as the show must be over before 9 to make way for the regularly scheduled programming. When that’s over, grab a beer and then mosey on over to the Deli for Dixie Dirt and Snowglobe.

Sunday Football. And then Football. If all goes well, maybe there’ll be some Wii action going on at my house. Of course, more than anything, I’m looking forward to the return of Battlestar Galactica at 9.

Go Bears! This will be possibly the third game I’ve watched more than 5 minutes of this year. What have Chicago and Hayden done to me?

If it makes you feel any better, Summer, I fell asleep after halftime when Hayden decided to venture off to the bar to spend time with people who would be enthusiastic about the game.
